HEY CHECK THIS OUT!! I am in the process of moving the website to http://martinteller.wordpress.com/.  This is something I've been meaning to do for ages... it'll look nicer, be easier to update, and allow for user comments.  These old pages will remain up until I get all the old reviews moved over.  All new reviews will be posted both here and at Wordpress, and I'd prefer if you used the Wordpress site.  And leave comments!  Fun for all!

So, basically, I watch a lot of movies.  I don't claim to be an expert, I just like recording my thoughts on them.  On some of the earlier pages, my wife added her comments, which appear in blue text.  If the title is italicized, that means it's my first time seeing it.

UPDATE July 19th, 2011: After over eight years of using the 1-10 scale, I'm making a switch.  For a long time now it has bothered me that the entire lower half my scale was devoted to bad movies, of which I try to watch as few as possible.  There's really little difference between a "3" and a "4", but quite a bit of difference between a "6" and a "7".  So I've decided to go with more descriptive rating system.

Crap: hated it (old scale: 1-2)
Poor: I had too many problems with it to enjoy (old scale: 3-5)
Fair: not entirely bad, but probably has more flaws than assets (old scale: 6)
Good: enjoyed watching it, but doesn't particularly stand out from the pack (old scale: 7)
Very Good: I would recommend to most people (old scale: 8)
Great: exceptionally rewarding, most likely something I would want in my personal collection (old scale: 9)
Masterpiece: the cream of the crop, a film that would qualify for my top 100 (old scale: 10)

For IMDb purposes, I have no choice but to continue with the 1-10 scale, and on Criticker I will keep using 1-100 scores.  But for my site, I'm doing away with the numbers.  For all my loyal readers (ha!) you can let me know how you feel about the change.
